Overview
"Louder Than The Thunder" is a high-energy Christian EDM praise track crafted to get listeners moving, dancing, and singing with bold, unrestrained joy.
The initial inspiration came after listening to exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger speak about the trope of kids battling demons in popular media. It sparked a creative thought: what if we channeled that youth energy into an unapologetic, joyful passion for Christ instead?
While the ultimate critics—my grandkids—gave the final result a classic "meh" (leaving me plenty of room for improvement!), exploring this new style and workflow made it fun project to create.
How It Was Made (Behind the Scenes)
- Concept & Songwriting: The goal was to create a modern, high-octane praise anthem driven by infectious K-Pop/EDM energy. Collaborating with Gemini, we shaped the structure into a fast-paced, call-and-response track with punchy, rhythmic lyrics tailored for contemporary youth worship.
- Audio & Music Production: Generated via Suno, the track is arranged as a driving 128 BPM Christian EDM banger. It features a four-on-the-floor kick, rolling synth basslines, building risers, and impactful drops designed to deliver a physical pulse and keep momentum high.
- Visual Direction & Animation: The vertical animation was generated using Google Flow and Google Veo, styled in a vibrant "Cyber-Cel Anime / Toy-Fi Punk" aesthetic. The stylized cel-shading gave the characters a dynamic, kinetic feel. To gracefully work around AI lip-sync constraints, the direction leans into rapid macro cuts, energetic crowd perspectives, and deliberate framing.
- Post-Production & Assembly: The final 9:16 cut was brought together in CapCut Desktop, layering beat-synced transitions, kinetic filters, and camera shakes to ensure the visual rhythm matched the heavy drop of the music.
